So Others May Live!

I do not do write ups on movies very much. In a month i pay homage to the cinemas on an average of four to five times. Giving reviews after every visit is redundant. However i will devote this entry to The Guardian. I caught the sneak at half past midnight on Friday at Great World City. I wanted Vivo City but that is besides the point. The movie lasted two and a half hours so it was worth the moolah. I had been anticipating the release of this motion picture and it truly exceeded my expectations. I am not a huge fan of Kevin Costner nor do i fancy Ashton Kucher but i am definitely an aficionado of movies that showcases the inspiring human spirit that shines in the darkest nights surviving troubled waters and choppy waves. Courage in the face of danger. Truly admirable. I had a hunch The Guardian will leave an impact in my life. It did. It left a lasting impression. I know now what i must do. Finally i have an ambition. I will heed the higher calling. Nothing is more noble than saving lives. I want to be in the elite training program for Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers echoing the motto: "So Others May Live!"

All In A Day's Work Or Two

Being reprimanded by Class Advisor was no laughing matter. He was infuriated that day. Never saw him in that state before. But seriously that workshop was not beneficial to me. Furthermore i do not like to be a test subject for some experiment. So i left school in a haste on Friday after sorting out some project matters with the members. Evening came and it was time to let loose. I was unable to find the shoes at Queensway Shopping Centre but i did made transactions with nearby Ikea over some household items. Bought tickets to watch the movie of my choice at an AXN Station at some petrol kiosk. The show was heart-warming i found it excruciating to hold back my emotions. Before the movie started we hung out at Starbucks, Suntec City and talked about, what else, girls. And life too. A tinge of love was discussed but that was all. It was a sensitive topic. But we unanimously agreed that falling in love with your colleagues or classmates spells disaster. The repercussions of falling out and recovering from failed relationships is not easy. It was like a blow to my face because that is exactly what i am going through right now. Keeping it professional between us is killing me. So anyway after The Guardian, we made a quick spin around Geylang and Serangoon before turning in for whatever is left of the night at a friend's place. Saturday was laid back. I was unable to attend some Deepavali celebration at a classmate's crib because i wanted to watch Kickboxer featuring Jean Claude Van Damme, my favourite martial artiste and Windtalker at ten. A war movie which i can relate to. I should be sleeping now. I have riding practical later.

Emergency

Bestfriend and i went to Geylang today. Just the two of us. His name withheld. He is under the witness protection program. Said he. Bullshit. Said i. We were on a mission. A frantic search for identical baju kurungs with less then a week left before the big day. How romantic! Some gay love going on if you ask me! Hahaha...

In A Flash

This was what we did. We rendezvous at Queenstown before making our way to Funan to buy a mouse. I had slammed my expensive cordless mouse on the floor in a fit of anger. It smashed beyond repair. We then made our way to The Cathay and watched Stay Alive. I was thinking along the line of Miami Vice and Colin Farrell. It was not my idea of a movie based on a video game but it was awesome. It was beyond my expectation unlike Doom starring The Rock. It was way better. Go watch it. I will be on a date either this Friday or Saturday to watch a show at the Nokia Starlight Cinema. It will be at The Padang. I will also be at the opening of Vivo City this Saturday. After Stay Alive we headed down to Bussorah Street before moving on to Bugis. The bazaars there were crappy so we dropped by Geylang. This was the best part. I met Rohani. We hugged and almost kissed... in front of her boyfriend. Hell i would even rape her in front of her boyfriend if i want to. We exchanged contacts and parted ways. I wanted to chill at East Coast Park but my friends got to work. Maybe next time. It was getting late so we went home.

Blow Wind Blow

I woke up this morning or rather this afternoon smelling the fume. The stench had entered my room and i am talking about the forest fires in Sumatra. Time and again this disaster had been occuring and Singapore pays the price for the reckless behaviours of uneducated farmers. I am not sure what the PSI rate is for now but i hope it is within the healthy range. I am already choking on my Marlboro. My cat is sneezing and i am easily agigated by this pollution. It puts me off from hanging out and i hate to be locked up indoors. We need our fair share of fresh air again. As much as i was trained to see in the dark during my military days poor visibility at night still hinders my movements because of this haze. Talking about being a soldier not many know that i was a marksman in various weaponry. I was also the front scout that bashed through jungles and vegetations for my platoon and sometimes company during the day and night. I was highly proficient in map reading as well.

It Could Had Been Prevented

I fall during my riding practical for the first time yesterday. It was raining but i still persevered for my license. The bike skided down the slope as the roads were wet. I should not be speeding down an inclination and i should not clutched in too soon. Bad move and it cost me my self-esteem. Physical pain and injury i can endure but it is the bruise to my ego and confidence that i am worried about. I was not embarrassed. Falling is part and parcel of learning. Just like riding a bicycle. The practicals are getting tougher as i progresses through the many stages. I am becoming less motivated but i will stay true to the promises i made. I will pass this course and ride a bike soon. Loud and proud. Do not wish me luck because i do not really believe in it but pray for my safety and be patient. I will ride alongside you.

Two More Weeks

The holiday this time round seems much longer then the last. Perhaps it is all psychological. But i know i am treating every passing day like it is my last. That statement is so Hady Mirza. The longer the vacation the better. I am not complaining. I am having fun and enjoying myself. I cannot picture myself back in that institution but i know it is something i must do. It is non-obligatory nor compulsory abiding to my standards but i will complete the course for my own future benefits. I think. Nobody really wants me to stay in school. It is my calling and a choice of my own. I hate to do things halfway and i am not giving up just yet. One semester down and three more to go. I am so pulling through this shit. I do not know how much more longer but i am struggling. Counting down the days will do me no good so i am just going with the flow phasing through motion. There is only so much you can do during the holidays especially when you are fasting. When all plans were executed there will be nothing much left to do and boredom sets in. Some of my friends are probably rotting at home pulling their hair not knowing what to do. I find it disturbing. Anything is better then schooling. I think it is really ironic.
