Four-Legged Issue

The cat is due for his annual booster this May and reaching the second year of his life in June. Time flies and suddenly he is pretty much an adult feline. The memory of that once frail and furry face bouncing on those puny pink paws scurrying array in this apartment is still vivid in my mind. He was petite in stature when i first brought him home. Undoubtedly still reserved and inhibited i am happy that he had accepted this new family and a place to call home. Needless to say i am still sore about separating him from his sister but that is another story to tell. He had since been made aware of his surroundings and had adjusted and adapted comfortably. There are plans in the pipeline to adopt a kitten from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the horizon. A little company from his own specie would do Din good. It would cheer him up by the manifold. Sometimes crickets come out and play in this house. Brother and i are seldom home.

The family is a teeny bit worried about his diet. He is not as big as we envisioned him to be in direct comparison to his puffy cheeks. Size does matter in this household. He is concluded fit and in superb condition according to the veterinarian and judging by the food and nutritions that he consumed. But on a personal note i just hope he will grow heavier and sinewy. There is no room in this house for the weak. Another problem that puts him in the limelight and my brother and i in a dilemma is the decision to sterilise him. It involves a minor surgery and a miniscule incision to prohibit him from breeding which in the eye of the law is a catastrophe for the society. Chances of a cat doubling in size was documented and discussions are getting intense. Din will be less active and quit peeing around making a mess of himself in this house as he is yet to demonstrate. Before this could happen the agony of deciding what is best for an animal is of paramount importance.
